Izložba ‘Delmati: Snaga zajedništva’ 23. oktobra u Livnu

Izložba “Delmati: Snaga zajedništva” bit će otvorena 23. listopada u 18 sati u Franjevačkom muzeju i galeriji Gorica u Livnu.

Numerous scientists and museum professionals from various institutions collaborated on the exhibition, such as the museum from Sinj, the Archaeological Museum in Split, the Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments, the Museum of the City of Kaštela, the Museum of the City of Šibenik, the Local Museum in Imotski, the Franciscan Museum in Tomislavgrad, the Franciscan Museum and Gallery Gorica – Livno, and the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Contributions to the exhibition were also provided by the Franciscan Archaeological Collection in Sinj, the Franciscan Collection of St. Stephen the Martyr in Gorica, the Franciscan Collection in Imotski, and the University of Mostar.

The exhibition curators are the employees of the mentioned museums who, through two years of work and effort, raised the exhibition to a higher level. They are: Daria Domazet and Stipan Dilber (exhibition coordinators for Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina), Anđela Vrca, Anita Librenjak, Danijela Petričević Banović, Sanja Budić-Leto, Ante Jurčević, Ivan Šuta, Miroslav Katić, Marija Marić Baković, Ana Marić, Emil Podrug, and Tino Tomas.

“The exhibition at the Franciscan Museum and Gallery Gorica will showcase interesting archaeological material that was previously stored in museum vaults, along with the presentation of the prehistoric era through digital tools, such as virtual reality where visitors can walk through Dalmatian settlements and learn more about the life of prehistoric man,” said Vlajić.

According to her, there will also be an animated film about the wars between the Romans and the Delmatae (Bruno Ercegovac) which makes the exhibition suitable for all ages.

“Within the exhibition, in addition to archaeological artifacts such as the famous Dalmatian jewelry, there are also examples of the continuity of such decoration and clothing, which was created for the exhibition by the renowned Croatian jewelry designer Mladen Grubić,” Vlajić mentioned.

The exhibition also features a musical background composed by artist Petar Radović with the band Radagast.

Petar Radović is also the author of the beautiful visual elements of the entire exhibition, while the spatial concept and design credits go to the established design duo Damir Gamulin and Antun Sevšek, with the project catalog and visual identity created by the award-winning designer Stjepko Rošin.

Vlajić added that during the exhibition and immediately after the opening, all interested parties will be able to participate in very interesting workshops on making Dalmatian jewelry.

As part of the extensive project “Delmati: Snaga zajedništva”, funded by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and the Split-Dalmatia County, with the support of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sport, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, the exhibition began its journey at the Franciscan Museum Tomislavgrad in June, and visitors had the opportunity to see it at the important museum institution of Bosnia and Herzegovina – the National Museum of BiH in August.
