63rd Graduate Study Programme (GSP) – United Nations Office at Geneva

Open to: Postgraduate students from around the world who have completed a bachelor’s degree and are currently enrolled in a graduate program (Master’s, PhD, or equivalent), proficient in English, and interested in deepening their understanding of the United Nations and international affairs.

Benefits: The program is free of charge, but participants must cover their own travel, accommodation, and living expenses in Geneva.

Description

The Graduate Study Programme (GSP) is the United Nations’ longest-running educational initiative, now in its 63rd year. This intensive two-week summer seminar, scheduled from June 30 to July 11, 2025, in Geneva, Switzerland, offers participants a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of the United Nations system and International Geneva. The 2025 theme, “UN80: United for a Better Future,” focuses on implementing the historic Pact for the Future as the UN celebrates its 80th anniversary. The program includes lectures by UN representatives, diplomats, and civil society members, workshops, institutional visits, and collaborative group projects.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree.
  • Be currently enrolled in a graduate program (Master’s, PhD, or equivalent).
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Possess a valid passport (valid at least until the end of 2025).
  • Be able to cover their own travel, accommodation, and living expenses in Geneva.
