Ručno košenje trave, ta stara i časna vještina, prenosi se s koljena na koljeno stoljećima. Što se Kuprešaka tiče, to nije samo rad nego i svojevrsna umjetnost – ritam pokreta koji prati sunce i miris sjena, to je jedinstven zvuk kose rano u zoru, znoj na čelu i ponos u srcu. Zato je upravo Kupres postao pozornica toj tradiciji gdje se zemlja ljubi s nebom, gdje se susreću stari običaji i današnji čovjek. Dani kosidbe na Kupresu su vrijeme kada se čuva uspomena na naše pretke, na njihov mukotrpni rad, trud i snagu ali i vrijeme kada se zajedništvo, pjesma i ponos šire među generacijama.
Prvo su se nadmetali kosci juniori i upravo to nam daje nadu da će se ovaj običaj čuvati još dugo. Na ponos Kupresa ovi mladi momci nastavljaju tradiciju i stasaju u slavne majstore kose – snagom, tehnikom i upornošću. Oni su: Ivan Čičak zv. Džonijev i Drago Šarić iz Kupresa, a među mladim koscima su i braća Ivan i Josip Čičak – Vinarini, također rođeni Kuprešaci – sinovi čovjeka koji je ime svoje obitelji utkao u tradiciju košenja trave. U konkurenciji juniora najuspješniji je bio Ivan Čičak Džonijev. Drugo mjesto osvojio je Drago Šarić, a treće Ivan Čičak Vinarin. Četvrto mjesto i nagradu za sudjelovanje dobio je Josip Čičak.
Titulu kosbaše ponio je naš Kuprešak Stipo Šarić.
Drugo mjesto je osvojio Vuk Vučković, a treće Mirko Kecman.
